We started the new year off pondering new goals for the upcoming year and thinking about positive changes we are making. Hannah was on hand to introduce some mindfulness techniques to help us along the way. Everyone seems to take well to the chilled atmosphere created and had some sensory fun making galaxy jars.
We had our first ever evening event last Friday at Stirchley Baths and were delighted to see so many people turn up.
Attendees got to enjoy a range of activities including a listening corner, vintage sweets and artifacts and delicious foods to keep bellies happy.
People enjoyed singing along with two choirs: Stirchley Community Choir and Moseley-based Skylarks.
We had dance, music and merriment and a good time was had by all!
We are already planning our next evening social at Christmas so watch this space.

We had another vibrant session at our March Memory Cafe. We created a pretend beach seaside with real sand, shells and candy floss. People seized the chance for a quick photo opportunity at the comical seaside peep board, which had been lovingly painted by some previous visitors to the Memory Cafe.
Stirchley Community Pop-up Choir got everybody involved and treated all to a sing along to some seaside classics like “Oh I do like to be beside the seaside” and ” What shall we do with the drunken sailor” which evoked smiles and joyous faces from the people remembering their old favourite holiday tunes.
We will be getting filmed for the television tomorrow. We cannot as yet disclose why but will be able to soon!
It is vital that we get lots of shares and likes in the meantime, please see the links below to check out our social media channels.
